Jio Cinema Struggles with grievance handling

In August, four major streaming services—Netflix, Sony Liv, Hotstar, and JioCinema reported a total of 372 user complaints. JioCinema had the most, with 293 complaints, followed by Netflix with 63 and Sony Liv with 16. Disney+ Hotstar had no complaints this month. Netflix resolved 40 issues, including 20 from previous months, while JioCinema only managed to address 3 of its complaints. JioCinema also had seven complaints related to Code of Ethics violations, resolving five of them. Self-regulatory bodies for these platforms received few complaints, with DPCGC reporting two still unresolved by the end of the month.
